Rouen Cathedral
This is the Cathedral at Rouen where Becky and Rosanna went to Mass on Sunday morning while Nikki, Tara and I had hot chocolate in a cafe. By the time they joined us we'd decide to stay in that cafe for lunch and had a massive amount of quiche lorraine with chips and salad for a rather good price.
By the time we managed to leave the market that we were heading too was closing but Nikki still managed to get a second hand watch made in Norwich (her hometown which is twinned with Rouen). We then headed to find the Joan of Arc museum but were very disappointed to find it was closed indefinitely. Instead we went to visit a museum in the clock tower which showed how the clock was made and worked and was quite interesting. We got to see lots of clockwork too. The photo was taken from the top of the clock tower.
Spent the late afternoon in a chocolate shop/cafe having some amazing hot chocolate. (Most things where closed as it was Sunday so there wasn't much else to do). Managed to grab some things from a bakery to have on the train home. Generally a very nice weekend.
