Sailing ship

My MrM’s uncle made this for him when he was a baby. Unfortunately all the ropes have rotted now and bits keep falling off. I understand his reluctance to throw it away so it’s now in the downstairs toilet where the kids won’t think it’s a toy. It doesn’t get dusty in there either.
