Two days in one
This photo represents both today and yesterday .
I made a big pan of butternut squash curry and another of spicy cauliflower soup to take to the Chesterfield family , had a lovely, lengthy touching base chat with the Swedish family. Took a trip over to a place between Whalley and Accrington called Spring Wood , ancient woodland , allegedly untouched since before medieval times. We last went about thirty years ago and were quite excited , expecting to find a great diversity of plant life. We were so disappointed , dark, gloomy, drizzly, not much to inspire . The most interesting part was this colourful board .
Returned again this afternoon and met a friend who lives near to Spring woods and she took me on a fabulous walk round and about . It’s a special friendship as we met at the A and E department about 3 years ago as we had both broken our wrists , blame “the beast from the east,” We met a week later as we both had surgery on our wrists on the same day and struck up a friendship with each other and another women with the same sorry tale of slipping on ice and Wrist breakage. We are of a similar age and worked in the public sector in caring professions . We meet every few months and thoroughly enjoy each other’s company . We all say it was worth having the injury in order to have the friendships.
Need to head off and pack the car in readiness for our trip tomorrow to Chesterfield. Will catch up with comments over the weekend . Hope we all get a big dose of sunny weather, it makes the world a brighter place .
