Up and down
Loving the miniature red tulips in my bulb basket!
This pandemic and how the virus affects different people is interesting and it is concerning when the number of people you personally know are affected grows at a steady rate.
A friend who lives across the river with her brother, who is a Vietnam vet, both got the virus. She got very sick but is recovering well. Not so her brother. He has permanent lung & kidney damage and I don’t know what else but although he is home, hospice is involved.
Another friend who’s husband is already on disability due to decreased lung function, her daughter brought it home from university and infected her mum & step-dad. My friend & her daughter are a symptomatic but her husband is in the hospital.
Today we got a call that one of Kent’s cousins, his wife & son all have Covid. He is in the hospital and not doing well.
That’s eight people I personally know that I am aware of having the virus. There could be more. That is three people seriously affected by the virus that I personally know.
And there are people who don’t want to wear masks. Who want to gather in large groups etc. Really people?! Does it have to happen to someone you know, to someone you care about, for you to get the message? Or maybe then you still don’t get it because you are so selfish and self absorbed
That’s my rant.
