Purple Poppy - Papaver Somniferum

18°C  -  14 mph WNW Wind Speed  -  18 mph Gusts  -  Cloudy with Sunny Intervals.  Cleared lots of nettles and brambles from the bottom of the garden  -  exhausted!!  This purple Poppy has self-seeded in various parts of the garden  -  it only lasts about a day, but leaves behind some rather well-formed seed heads. This one self-seeded in the gravel next to my Elecampane bed which I have blipped many times  -  watch this space for this year’s blip
