Second Wind

Rather a lot of alcohol was consumed with friends last night after a dog walk. However, the boys made it to Innerleithen for 8.30 this morning to celebrate that the mtb trails there are open again. Glentress trails are still closed, not that you'd know it from the number of mtb riders around in Peebles. Anyway, the girls and dogs had a later start and a more leisurely ride to Cardrona for brunch. We were all rather delicate, so how the boys managed it, I do not know. Bizarrely, I felt rather energised this afternoon and felt the urge to cycle round Cademuir on the road. I've not done that before as S is only interested in trails and we usually have Freya in tow, so roads are not ideal. It was stunning though, despite the headwind, and I'll be doing it again for sure.
