Crundale
high on the downs between Canterbury and Ashford. This meadow contained so many species of plants. I think the yellow may be yellow rattle which helps to promote wild flowers.
I am a bit miffed though as I should really like to have taken a picture of adjacent vineyards and orchards but the road was narrow and nowhere to stop. One newly planted vineyard looked really professionally done. I think it may have been one planted by Bernard Tattinger the champagne company to produce sparkling wine; I don't think they can actually call it it champagne, though.
