Venturing Out
Since my husband has gone on an actual business trip and left me on my own for weekend, I bravely took some time out from a day otherwise dedicated to the Sisyphean task of getting to inbox zero in order to venture out into the commercial world for the first time in 4 months.
Visited Beth Chatto garden but actually felt quite uncomfortable as it was rather busy and there was no route round the garden to avoid passing close to other groups. No one at all was wearing a mask which surprised me and no one else seemed too bothered about passing or browsing the plants in close proximity.
I didn’t feel all that safe really, I was expecting more ‘safety’ measures for some reason. But maybe I’m just not accustomed to how things are being done and being overly sensitive!
Anyway, all this didn’t prevent me overcoming the lack of social distance to grab some plants to put in a bed that has been entirely without plants for the most of this year and badly in need of repopulating. It was nice at least to support a local family business and buy something.
