Often the tiny Scarlet Pimpernel is called The Poorman’s Weatherglass or Shepherd’s Sundial.  The flowers only open for a short time each day from about 8am to 3pm and close during dull or wet weather which is why I never noticed the plants on Thursday when I walked by
