I'm Weak

No way could I drive by a 20-foot balloon hamster and not take a picture. I thought somebody must have put this on the roof of our local Kia dealership just for me but my friend Rhonda reminded me that hamsters are the stars of the Kia ads on TV. For a moment I thought I'd hit the hamster jackpot.

I've mentioned before in my journal that I'm a rodent fan but I mean that in the sense of cute mouse pictures, hamsters and Pixar's Ratatouille, not swarms of vermin in the basement. I've come to the aid of a few mice in peril in my lifetime. The most noteable rescue was in Montana when I lived on a ranch and in the process of irrigating a field of alfalfa flooded one out of his/her underground home. The poor little thing sat sputtering and shaking on a rock so I picked it up (the rock) and carried it to dry ground while the mouse hung on and dried itself off. One of my finer moments.
