Slow worm

Today we went to Newtown for a walk.  As I was putting my boots on, my phone rang.  It was one of the band, he'd invited a couple of musicians to play a few tunes in his garden as it was a sunny day and I was invited too.  The snag was that his house was 60 miles away and I was going on a walk.  I asked for a bit more warning next time!

F found this beautiful slow worm near the canal, it was quite a big one and a thrill to see. We saw three young willow warblers in the vegetation but as they only showed themselves for a split second at a time there was no photo.  There were lots of different types of butterfly around too  so a great nature walk.
