Australia's Victoria state marks week of triple-digit coronavirus case.  Australia has avoided the high Covid-19 casualty numbers of other nations with swift and strict measures, recording so far just under 10,000 coronavirus cases

WHO reports record daily increase in global coronavirus cases, up over 230,000.  The biggest increases were from the United States, Brazil, India and South Africa, according to a daily report. The previous WHO record for new cases was 228,102 on July 10. Deaths remained steady at about 5,000 a day.  The disease that has killed more than 565,000 people in seven months.

Florida reports over 15,000 Covid-19 cases in single-day record.  Its daily increases have already surpassed the highest daily tally reported by any European country during the height of the pandemic there. Florida has also broken New York State’s record of 12,847 new cases
