Sunny Corner

It was a late start this morning. The Boy was off to Truro to meet friends but forgot his face mask for the bus so came home. It ended up with us all going to Truro!

The girls and I nipped into Primark - short leggings for me and PJs for Princess then we had a sander about and explored the river walkway, it was all very pleasant!

We Then popped into Tesco for 5 meal deals and headed to Boscowen Park to eat dinner. It was gorgeous so we decided to walk along the river and discovered ‘Sunny Corner’. We returned to the park for ice cream then set off home.

Unfortunately as we headed down the Carbon Downs bypass to the roundabout, the engine cut out!! Luckily MrRoly stopped it safely but it wouldn’t restart - those local know that the Devoran roundabout is not a good place to breakdown!! Fortunately it did restart after a few minutes but clearly wasn’t right so we limped up the road to the Yummy Scrummy Cafe. We briefly blocked the bus turning as the engine cut out again but a lovely bus driver helped push it forward enough to get by!!

Anyway, it’s all a bit of a faff - a friend collected me and the kids while MrRoly waited fir the breakdown. As we got home he rang to say the recovery man wasn’t arriving until 6.30 do Eldest went straight out to get him. He then went back at 6.30 but the van was too heavy for his truck. So MrRoly handed over the key and the recovery man said he’d sort a bigger relay truck. Fingers crossed it will get safely to the garage we bought it from as we think it is still under warranty until September...
