I'm Old Fashioned...

..according to those who think I should be using something called an MP3 or my phone. But my portable CD player has its uses, mainly to provide me with entertainment on long car journeys while Mr Flum is driving and radio fights for supremacy against road noise.

Today it proved useful while Mr Flum was busy at the computer, requiring silence, and I was top-and-tailing 5lb of gooseberries which, for tedium, is on a par with picking over fruit for a Christmas cake. David Jaggs playing classical guitar made the task so much more bearable.

Later I performed the old-fashioned task of making 3lb of them into jam.
