Salad Days

We started eating our own salad leaves tonight. Thanks Elaine for the lettuce plants. They have grown really well. I've never bothered growing lettuce but I think in future I will.

A quiet day here. A bit of gardening. Quite a lot of reading. I am enjoying our August bookclub choice Rodham by Curtis Sittenfield. A biographical fiction. What would happen if Hillary hadn't married Bill Clinton? Not sure either Bill or Hillary would be that keen to read it!
