Catherine wheel!

I love when the flower on the clematis fades the shape reminds me of the Catherine wheels we used to have at Guy Fawkes night when I was a wee girl! ........now there’s a question why were they names Catherine Wheels????

A lovely sunny warm summer’s day , a bit of pottering about, after lunch had a lazy Sunday reading in the garden enjoying the warmth of the sun!

Dug up a few beets, roasted them , I like small baby beets these certainly fitted that bill! Very tasty first time I’ve grown beetroot!
