Strange tree

This tree/bush/shrub is next to our garage and I have always wondered what it is.  It has green leaves on it, but it gets these fluffy poufs on the top part of the branches.  I finally did a Google search, and turns out it is called the smoke bush.  Very apt description.
Too hot today to get out.  It was at least 100, so I stayed in, trying to keep cool, and got a few things done around the house.
