Another country, another cake.
Tier 3 of the cake, the Malaysian tier. Behind it is the basket of goodies WH has been given for Chinese New Year.
I'm not sure about this cake. It's less dense and less dark - no currants or treacle and the 'brandy' is basically flavoured and coloured alcohol. I hope it's all cooked off. It seems softer too. I think that's the flour which was very fine, unlike the sugar, which was slightly coarse. I'll freeze it, once cools, and hope that hastens the maturing process, but only a week!
I cleaned too - the oven (yuck) and worktops. There are other bits of the apartment I'd love to get to grips with but that would be very intrusive.
