Beware the Nazgul

This morning we got up and headed over to the Weta Cave- the production company for The Lord of the Rings, the Chronicles of Narnia and Avatar. It was quite interesting and they have a film which gives a behind the scenes look.
When we got back we had a lovely lunch and then headed out for a walk up Mount Victoria. It was a bit of a hike but it was lovely. We walked the 'Hobbit Hideaway' track and this is where part of the Fellowship of the Ring is filmed, where the hobbits hide from the Nazgul- so here is Sam pretending to be a hobbit.
Then we came back and rested for a while and then George's brother and his family came over and we had a BBQ which was lovely- we had real NZ lamb and it was delicious. We spent the evening sorting ourselves out and chatting to George's mum, Linda.
