Poppies 2020
A backblip - again.
Yesterday we drove to Mohndorf (poppy town) for my annual Blipping of the poppies and eating of the Mohnnudeln (potato gnocchi smothered in butter, ground poppyseed and rum). We were a bit early but this was the only day we had free. They were supposed to bloom this weekend but cooler weather has delayed things a bit. There were just a few blooms here and there but we found a couple of smaller fields in full bloom on the way home. This field near the wind turbines was Hubby's choice as I was spending too long to decide on a photo.
LWL (looks wonderful large)
Extra - the potato plants were in full bloom
