Slaughterhouse

This derelict site covers a large area in the east end of Glasgow. I've blipped parts of the outside previously. 

Couldn't believe it when I noticed the heavily padlocked entrance gate lying open so I wandered in. 

It was previously an Abattoir and Meat Market but closed many years ago.   Part of it was used for a weekend car auction market for a number of years but its been lying derelict for years now.

I believe they have planning permission to build houses which is possibly why it was open and there are signs of some tidying up activity having taken place.
