Calne Town Gardens (Monday 13th July 2020)

The crocosmia in the Woodland Garden are starting to tentatively appear but these in the Town Gardens are far more advanced, thanks to a sunnier position. This is very similar to my blip of one year ago yesterday.

Back at the Old Forge, rendering has been taking place (see Extra).

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
John Barry Seven and Orchestra - Beat Girl (1960)
The CD that came with the April 2013 Mojo was called Action! - 15 Cult Movie Classics and opened with this that played over the opening credits of the film 'Beat' Girl. Among the cast were young hopefuls Adam Faith, Shirley-Ann Field, Oliver Reed, Gillian Hills and Christopher Lee, and it was scored by man of the moment John Barry (pre-James Bond). Younger readers may recognise this from Fatboy Slim's Rockafella Skank.
Vic Flick was the guitarist with the John Barry Seven and his work is prominent on many of their records including the theme for 007.
