Still on the Stour
All was still as we walked from Dedham to Flatford Mill; there were plenty of people but there was little noise or disturbance, and even when we got to the Mill it was tranquil and calming.
The photographic opportunities were limited by the midday harsh light, but it was still very tempting to snap away, whether at the Constable-esque scenes or the idiot in a rowing boat making his lady row (ineptly) while he chatted loudly on his mobile. I had never seen Flatford Mill before, so Willy Lott's Cottage was a very pleasant sight, but there were many other scenes to capture. I'd like now to go back in the softer light of September or the evening.
