Making a silk purse out of a sow's ear

Nice to see the Mr Cummings trip oop norf had at least one positive result. Thanks are due to the bridesmaid who knew that even though she doesn't drink beer, this was the perfect present for the mother of the bride on Saturday! I'm still chortling and glad to have my very own can! Well done to Brewdog for producing sanitiser from the profits. I hope Dom bought it by the caseful, but somehow I doubt it.
Went for a run when I got up this morning and the morning looked promising for my lunch out with a friend but no.... At 11.15 the rain started and didn't stop, so lunch is postponed. Never mind we've waited four months, what's a couple more days!
This afternoon I did various running around tasks, Ali popped in for a brief visit and I had a Zoom meeting. That was followed by a phone call with a successful outcome so all good in that respect too. Ali and Stuart are coming over this evening and will have a Chinese takeaway, nice to spend some time with them.
