Up to his knees on the hunt

I ended the hunt by quickly taking this shot and shooing him away. He was quite reluctant and situated himself on a couple of tree limbs until I finally succeeded. Chipmunks, voles, moles, or garter snakes could have been on the list of victims. A magnificent Red Tailed Hawk denied this time, but I suspect there will be return visits.

This day came in dark, hot and humid yet again. The never ending hope for rain continues. Thunder and lightning are in the forecast.
