Full Cycle

Jute sacks for packaging animal feeds stuffs was the norm for decades through two world wars and into the mid 20th century when jute was replaced by paper. Paper was cheaper and easy to recycle.

By 1980’s polythene sacks were introduced on cost, branding opportunities and weatherproof qualities. Many well established paper sack manufacturers went to the wall.

Now paper sacks are being reintroduced to help meet environmental obligations. They are being well received by customers and as a bonus they have a nice feel as opposed to shiny cold plastic.
