Poppies but not my poppies

Something is wrong with my shoulder and I’m not sleeping very well because of it. I’ve been to the chiropractor and my ligament is swollen. As is usual at the chiropractor it hurt having it manipulated. Now I need to put cold compresses on it and I have to remember to sit with my back against the chair when I work.

As I walked back I liked the brightness of these Californian poppies in someone’s garden.
