Lola's visitors...
Four months have passed since Ele and Kenny visited. They were our last visitors before the lockdown commenced. The trees were bare, the ground was frost covered and the crocuses had just pushed their way up through the soil. It's actually hard to believe that four months have passed!
So, they arrived in time for lunch and we picked up where we left off. Socially distancing of course.
K and D headed off to play golf and Ele and I sat in the garden room drinking coffee and eating homemade coconut cake, and blethered almost till the cows came home. We also had a FaceTime call from Esme, which was hilarious.
Lola was in seventh heaven, convinced of course, as she is whenever anyone comes to the house be it family or the man to read the meter, that they are here to see her and her only. She was glued to Ele all afternoon!
The guys returned from golf (a good round for both - yay! :-) and had coffee and cake. E & K stayed for dinner and headed home a short while ago.
It was so wonderful to see them, so difficult not to hug. A lovely day but I am astounded at how tired I am. Turns out socialising takes effort! lol
