This place has a dark past

Pen-y-fal (named after our Sugar Loaf mountain) is now a pleasant place to walk through, as our Wednesday walkers did this morning.

'Twas not always thus. In the not-too-distant past Pen-y-fal was an old-fashioned lunatic asylum. Read about it here if you want to known more. Not a part of our history to be proud of, I'm afraid.
