A Touch Of The Exotic

Today was much less windy and when the broadband went down and the technician said 'might take 24 hours' the writing was on the wall so I wrapped up to walk to the bus for town. In the end, having missed one I walked all the way (about 7km) and treated myself to a cappuccino in the town centre and looked round the market.

Northampton's market is one of Britain's oldest. Although there's not as much variety as I remember from my childhood, there are some colourful stalls like this one, contrasting with the dark, heavy winter wear of the passers-by.

By the time I got home the broadband was fixed - hooray!
