Cowhorn bird

This was (with its partner) always standing on the mantlepiece as I grew up; I have no idea of their provenance, possibly Kenya. Certainly there were some rather horrible East African paintings that I always associated with the bird ornaments. I have a vague memory of an uncle or cousin of Mum's being responsible for their presence... perhaps Pipistrelle or Mrs JimHappyAgain will see this.

No idea why I picked these out when we cleared Mum's house...
