Tea time already!

We had a lovely day yesterday.
In the afternoon one of our young friends came for a visit, and brought a kind of pie/cake that she had made for us. It is very hard to describe.
She calls it a chocolate cookie pie! Photo in extra.
But it fills a plate and the consistency is rather like sweet crumbly pastry, but with bits of Galaxy chocolate crumbled into it.
I have to say it is very tasty! We both sampled a piece whilst she was here. Our second visitor to come into the house after the rules/regulations/updates changed recently.
We can have two people from the same family, but not two friends at the same time unless we are in the garden, where we can have up to six.
During the afternoon the doorbell rang and it was Blipper Rainette on the doorstep with some gorgeous flowers and a bottle of wine.
     Such a lovely surprise!
We had a chat as she would not have been able to come indoors due to Milly being here. She was out for a long walk.
It's just nuts I know, but we all want to stay safe. Including those who visit.
Later we went to the pub for dinner, and the staff were well geared up, very helpful, and we enjoyed the lovely food.
There were quite a few people by the time we left, but the tables were all socially distanced and plenty of hand sanitising gel in various locations.
It was such a treat and there was the hum of conversation around us which made it pleasant and able to forget all the stuff that needs to be done beforehand.
So, our first meal out in Lockdown.
Today I have been busy making cards to send to the grandchildren to say a big thankyou for their suncatchers which now hang in the kitchen window
Stephen had written some code for Sammy to solve, as he had sent us both some questions which were in picture code!
They are now on their way with Royal Mail, as Stephen decided he would have a short bike ride to include the local POst Office.
It has been a nondescript kind of day for weather.
Misty, muggy and mizzly.
I have only set foot outside to take the photo and  do a bit of dead heading of the shrub roses.
I took the photo almost from ground level to show how the garden plants have shot up lately.
Reminds me  of the theme tune to "Monk" if any of you remember that series at all.  One of the recurring lines is:
     "It's a jungle out there......"
Ok so that is poetic licence. I know! ;-)

Sorry I'm behind with blips and comments!
