Killiney

After a leisurely breakfast which was interrupted several times by friends of Carl's mum calling to see how she was doing in hospital, we moved on to discussing what sort of radiator he should choose for the bathroom in his house that's currently in the hands of the builders. After that it was time to head outdoors, first to admire the views offered by his mum's garden which overlooks Killiney Bay and then to head down to the beach.

Killiney Bay is always impressive, even on an overcast day like today (it must have been glorious in April and May when we had our summer). We strolled along the path overlooking the beach, past the life guards on duty and on to the work-in-progress Tea Rooms.

I was back home by mid-afternoon. It was good to get such a nice break from the routine.
