Canal side cafe
This is the interior of a great little bar I have discovered during my visit to Birmingham. It is the canal side cafe on the Gas Street Basin, on the Worcs and B'ham canal. The original building dates from around 1770 and was the lock- keepers cottage.
In the bar there are seats for 17 but on my third visit I am the only customer. The real ale is reasonably priced at £3.20 a pint. A fire is burning in the hearth so I'm going to settle down with a pint and a good book for an hour or so.
