Ripples

A day on our own today so a bit of a lie in, a leisurely breakfast, a few chores and then a mega walk! We walked the length of Pohara beach and then on to Rotarai, coming back via an estuary - the tide very low indeed and the sea amazing shimmers. A few people out and about: with dogs, some on horseback, families still in shorts (it's the school hols). The sand was fascinating - lumps, bumps and ripples and full of strange prints - dogs, humans, seagulls, oyster catchers, razor shells and little round shapes with holes in the centre -  sand dollars? We broke our tramp with lunch at Coffee Roasters. Most enjoyable.
I'm entering this for Abstract Thursday (thanks Ingeborg) although it's colourful in a very subtle way!
The extra is of the whole recycled house whose window I blipped yesterday. The house bus is an extra bonus!
