Bolwell Mark V11 Sports Car
I spotted this exotic car parked in front of the local coffee shop and so I had a chat to the owner. The Bolwell was an Australian home-grown company which produced some of the best sports cars ever seen in this country. Following Lotus practice, the Mark V11 had a backbone chassis of folded sheet metal, and a very attractive body strongly influenced by contemporary exotics like the Jaguar E-Type and the Ferrari GTO.
Between 1967 and 1972, Bolwell turned out 400 Mark VII cars, some of them sold as complete turn-key cars from the factory but the majority were still sold in kit form. This car with its V-8 engine is currently valued at around A$80,000.
The front view can be seen in the Extras. In the background is the Dog Salon where we take our dogs.
