2043. Mom's Watch
We've had a very frustrating morning so far....EasyJet released their summer 2021 dates this morning so we thought we would rebook our flights as part of a Leger Battlefield Tour that we are doing in June 2021. We were forced to accept a voucher as they refused to give us a refund but you can only use the voucher if you phone them to book.....so two hours later whilst on hold they killed the call and now the telephone number is unobtainable. How they can get away with all this is beyond belief...they've had our money since last year and now we can't even use the refund voucher we've been forced to accept or lose our money.
Hubby is beyond angry with them and then to add insult to injury we missed a parcel delivery yesterday and he drove over to the post office depot to collect and they're only open from 7 - 9 am....so to say he's annoyed is a bit of an understatement. So I have had to organise a redelivery form Monday...thankfully it's nothing urgent.
He's now sitting watching our local auction house conduct their general sale auction online and we're after two things but the bids have already gone up a bit too high on one item...so we'll see...
So I sat and took a photo of the watch I'm wearing today...it belonged to my Mom and I think she got it in the mid 80's...it got wet whilst we were on holiday in Malta in the late 80's and I remember her drying it off with her hairdryer and it continued to work prefectly until the day she died. I got it overhauled by Citizen and the strap replaced and they did a brilliant job.
