An early trip up to the alleged site of "one of the easiest to see Merlins ever" just to ensure it wasn't there. I wasn't disappointed - it wasn't, but on the way home found this nice Green Woodpecker.

In the afternoon I headed down to a chilly Lemsford Springs. All the usual suspects were present and Longshanks decided to blip the Little Egret..
