The red-tailed hawk parents have successfully reared at least one baby, it's fledged and we've been watching it practicing flying.  Hubby frequently dashes away from his desk, camera in hand to try and get pictures, some of them are really cool.  Parents still supervising and I think still helping to feed it, snakes continue to be a popular menu item. 

Smoky skies here, the distinct orange glow of wildfire smoke in the air was with us all day, and will be for a few more, from the Mineral Fire burning in Fresno County.
