…. repeating myself!
Sorry that this is the fourth chipmunk in a row! Okay … I'm not really sorry!
The chipmunks here in the Northeast are only above ground during the warmer months so I take advantage of this fact by getting as many photos as possible … while it's still possible.
Chipmunks go into a semi-hibernation during the colder months … surfacing some time in the Spring. They are often active down in the their burrows during their hibernation. However, we see them quite often on our walks at the Plainfield Rail trail all year long. These are truly wild chipmunks … not like the ones here at the house.
So … that's your chipmunk lesson for today!
