Actually, my sympathy in this case lies with the aggrieved wife!

This is a LAG guitar. LAG started out in the south of France employing loads of first class luthiers - they were going to make the best guitars ever.

All of a sudden, greed took over & management sold out to the People's Republic of China. This is an average guitar encased in a super-thick straight jacket of the dreaded polyurethane varnish which looks great, but deadens the sound.

Believe it or not, the dreadful varnish saved this guitar from a lot of damage - even so it's a three day job - look closely & you'll see I've not aligned the grain (accidentally on purpose) & since CC & co are going on holiday in the south of France for two weeks, the guy is in for a long wait!
