as yet unnamed
Our local zoo is one of just eight zoos in the US that has a moose. But our 12 year old moose died two months ago, and we were not sure we would get another one. Lucky for us, the 8 week old male moose featured here was orphaned in Alaska, and has just arrived (by FedEx) here in Colorado. He is being bottle fed, but also learning to eat browse. (Hint: browse is the name of vegetation hanging from a branch; graze is the the name of vegetation on the ground.) Our new moose does not have a name yet.
In extras, is another orphan we got last year - a female mountain lion, named Adira.
