Astrantia major

I have only every known this flower as Astrantia so can't give a common name and I am reasonably sure the species is major.  During my regular Thursday visit to Kanyl I spotted this growing in the birder beside his pond.  This particular flower caught my eye as it was more symmetrical and perfect than many of the other flowers.

The rest of the day was unremarkable but at least the sun came out for us to sit in the garden and put the world to rights.
