Three pears and a bang on the head

The fruit is beginning to fall from the trees. We gathered up apples and juiced them in our new juicer.  The pears are falling too.  There is something about a trio of pears.  I have painted them many times in oils and acrylics and even in soft pastels. In other news, I banged my head (alert, if you decide to click on the extra pic prepare for some gore).  I ducked too late under a low beam in the cellar and floored myself.  Quite a gash, so the first glass of wine this week was taken to calm the nerves!
