Estuary at Low Tide
I loved the minimalist nature of this image. We had had a leisurely morning and then walked along from our site to the remains of a Roman fort beside the estuary of Braden Water - a branch of the River Yare (emerging into the North Sea at Yarmouth). The tide was retreating over the mudflats and the sun was bright.
We visited a sweet little church with a round tower before walking back, when the tide was advancing. We posed Pepper on the Roman wall - enough to terrify any local into submission. (Extra)
After a spot of lunch we headed out to see the remains of a priory dedicated to St Olave. It is very small but has an amazing 13th century vaulted roof over the refectory. How can something be that old but still perfect?
A last trip into Gorleston-on-sea where Pepper enjoyed chasing a ball on the beach and a swim in the sea
