Almshouses...

The gardens of Edward Alleyn’s almshouses in Dulwich Village, are closed to non-residents at the moment due to the virus, but the view of the chapel through the gates was still good. We took a stroll through the Village after our checkup at the dentist this afternoon and stopped for a coffee at one of the lovely restaurants, enjoying a roadside table. The sun had finally come out and it felt very normal to be able to do this again and watch the world go by. Good people watching in Dulwich.

We were very surprised to get our appointment reminder from the dentist. It came with a long list of instructions and a coronavirus questionnaire to fill in and take with us. Face coverings to be worn prior to being seen, temperature taken and only one at a time in the waiting room. Good to see our very nice practitioner again though. No treatments needed.
