Full throttle , flat oot....
Another busy day.
The silage team back to lift the last field of grass they didn’t get done yesterday . They were finished and away by lunch time. Now all we need to do is get the plastic sheet on to keep the air out. However this will need to wait until tomorrow as we are all busy next door, as the shearing team back again . By 6pm tonight we had the last 500+ hill ewes done, so that’s it done for another year . It’s doubtful if the price we get for the wool will this year will cover the cost of shearing , but what can we do ?
The sprayer also arrived in to start spraying a lot of the grass fields to kill all the thistles . He did manage to catch an electric fence with the sprayer boom and snap a wire, but wee brother will need to disconnect the power before he can join it up again..
A trip down the road tonight to feed the cattle then nipped in to see the contractor about topping a field before the drainage contractor starts fixing drains. Went in for a catch up and a socially distant coffee. First time I’ve been in another house since mid March and it felt strange. Littlemiss enjoyed her catch up with their son too !
