Anarchist Mob Demands End Racism

Portland is currently under siege from the federal government. Tanks arrived today, along with massively armed federal agents and mercenaries from the infamously violent Blackwater Securities group. Protesters with the Black Lives Matter movement are being kidnapped and swept away in unmarked vehicles. A Trump flunky named Chad Wolf has arrived in Portland after issuing a report calling protesters “violent anarchists” and citing “graffiti” (verb) as a crime, while not mentioning any of the crimes committed against protesters. Our Governor says Wolf's presence is a Trump campaign stunt. I am worried about the young people who will be out in the streets tonight in their t-shirts and flip-flops facing people in full armor with tanks and guns and tear gas. 

The park where we had the meditation on Tuesday has been closed, fenced, and guarded by federal agents. Portland Buddhist Peace Fellowship is meeting by Zoom in the morning to make alternative plans for next Tuesday's public meditation.

If that weren’t enough to be concerned about, we’re about to have a heat wave, and the rehearsal scheduled for Saturday afternoon has to be moved to Saturday morning because we must keep doors and windows to the theatre open to keep adequate ventilation to avoid pandemic danger, and by Saturday afternoon it will be too hot to work in there. I won’t be able to comment for a while now. I made this photo as I was on the way to make photocopies for the Saturday morning rehearsal. I'm texting, emailing, phoning, and Slack-ing for all I'm worth, trying to reach everyone.
