Minster Closed

Today we took a day out of usual things. She stayed home from nursery, we didnt wake until 7am apart from a few brief night wanderings from her, and we stayed in until 9am, just having leisurely baths, breakfasts and cuddles. Then, we got on our bike, cycled to the bus station and headed to York for the day! Where we were met by our lovely friend Sarah.

We had a very happy few hours - far too brief. Some time in the "Kermit shop". A good result for Mummy there, no purchases. Some time in ELC. Same outcome! Time in Next - less good result for Mummy as Katie chose a few pieces of (very lovely) spring clothes. A few props from a couple of shops. A bit of a Hotel Chocolat-shaped treat for us all. Even more so because the lady took to Katie and gave her 3 free chocolates. We headed to M&S for some lunch. Katie reached shattered point, went into the meitai on my front. A few minutes later, Sarah said to me "wow, it really does come with sleepy dust". Katie was snoring. We ate our lunch before she woke up and straight away wanted to wander, as well as munch her lunch. We walked to the Minster to go have an explore. To be greated with big barriers and a lot of building work. So Katie ran and skipped up the pretty side streets, in the golden sunshine. Until it started very quickly to snow, and heavily.

It was nearly time to take Sarah to her train and us to our bus. Katie wanted more food. She ate all I had for her on the bus, downed a large bottle of milk and then played very happily with Monkey for the journey home.
