Thistles
A warm sunny day. We have made some progress with the final design for our back garden purchasing an ancient staddle stone as a central feature for the current grass area. Only have to decide what to put around it now and how much of the grass is to be removed. We ventured out to a local company that sells a wide range of reclaimed items in stone. These include finials, troughs, bird baths and benches plus an odd assortment of pieces from buildings, farmyards and mills. Fascinating. It will be delivered on Monday so you can guess what the blip will be.
Thistles are a fascinating plant with many interesting stages changing from prickles to gossamer of the seeds.
